Harley-Davidson® UK launches 2010 race series

Oxford (03.09.09) Silverstone International Race Circuit will, this weekend, play host to the launch of the 2010 Harley-Davidson® XR1200 Trophy race series. In conjunction with Harris Performance, Harley-Davidson UK has spent almost a year developing the UK XR1200 race bike.

With the race bikes now ready to purchase, and dealers - including Oxford, Cheltenham and Warr's - already signing up to take part in next year's inaugural Harley-Davidson® UK race series, registrations for riders will open on Sunday 27 September.

Positive feedback from development riders, such as former BSB Champion and GP racer, Niall Mackenzie, and former BSB racer, Sean Emmett, has set the scene for what is expected to be a thrilling series packed with close and exciting racing.

Visitors to Silverstone will witness the race bikes in action on track during demo laps on Saturday and Sunday afternoon and stunt rider Craig Jones will also be demonstrating his skills aboard an XR1200 at the event.
